The 2019 Australian Open Pickleball Championships were held in Brisbane, Queensland in October 2019. The members of our club who participated had a wonderful time and undoubtedly gained valuable experience. The competition was tough, but we did very well overall. A couple of our members even managed to bring home well-deserved medals. The standard of play at our club is constantly improving so that our members are sure to do even better in future competitions.
Congratulations to Northern Beaches picklers Mitch and Katy Hargreaves who excelled in their events.
Mitch won his age division (12-50 years, level 4.5-5.0) and came 3rd in both the Men’s Open Doubles and the Men’s Open Singles.
Katy came 3rd in both the Women’s Open Singles and the Women’s Over 50 Doubles. List of all Australian Open Pickleball Championships medallists.
